Crack the Skye is amazing. So much better than Blood Mountain and Leviathan (to me anyway), not a bad song on it. They did that, then two off BM (Wolf is Loose as one, can't remember the other), 2 off Leviathan, 2 off Remission, back to Leviathan and finished with March of the Fire Ants so I was well chuffed. I'm not a massive fan of the Leviathan and Blood Mountain albums, but I do love Remission and Crack the Skye (March of the Fire Ants being my favourite song). Absolutely no crowd-interaction though which was unusual, but it was well done (I'm guessing they had the screen at the back at the one you went to as well, showing album covers during the last bit)
Where did you see them last night? I always thought you lived in Manchester.
I dunno, I love all four of their albums (not gonna include Lifesblood) but I was surprised that the crowd went a lot more nuts for the older stuff than Crack the Skye. Seriously, when the opening drum riff of Iron Tusk hit the place went [censored] mental, it was ace. To be honest though I expected way more off Blood Mountain, even just the singles as well, plus they didn't play Blood and Thunder which I reckoned would be an absolute shoo-in. Still, I'm not disappointed, it was a fantastic gig, but the song choices weren't what I really expected.
And yeah I do, but I'm at uni in Nottingham and they were playing at Rock City, so no need to go to the Manchester gig
