PCPS3 Release date, Part 5

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 3:50 am

Oh my god. People wanted to hear something, something was said, now it wasn't good enough. What a crowd.

This is disgusting. And I'm not talking about Gstaff's post either.
He didnt say anything.

And if you want to continue to be in your bending over position and take everything bethesda throws at you, fine.

WE are the consumer, THEY are the provider, if they dont want to provide we have others who will.
Remeber when being the consumer was the best thing.

Bethesdas not responsable for what mods are compatable with there Mod.

They arn't going to be able to change the fact mods may conflict with there mod.

So they should just release it and not worry about mods.

Uhmm... NO. :) People who know to little about tech often blindly download any mod that looks moderately 'cool', stamp it into their game and are baffled when something doesn't work. Incompatibility is always a risk when releasing brand new content. Bad for the user-base, especially the portion who don't understand that clicking 'download' and 'yes' on every button breaks things. They simply assume their game is broken and ask money back. If Dawnguard is as buggy as Xbox players claim, it may well be that it needs to be made more stable (a.k.a. patch 1.7).

The problem is it will likely release after the patch and still be buggy as all hell.

Because he repeated, almost to the letter, what he said two weeks ago. Reminds of the Soontm regarding some of the New Vegas DLCs :lmao:

Can you be sure it's really him, or just a spambot using his account?
Maybe they hired a new guy and the poor man didn't know what to say to us, so he repeated what was said last time

Like I wrote in another thread, I'm not buying Dawnguard. I really have other games to play and I'm not going to waste my money on something that probably will be buggy as hell when it's released (they couldn't even properly translate it for European Xbox players, what was this beta for anyway?)

I hope they learn from this situation and the next DLC will be released immediately after the exclusive period ends.

oh i agree, i mean on PC the modders will fix it anyway, but my point is lets not pretend Beth will actually fix the bugs, they dont exactly have a good track record in that department.

Sadly i dont have enough faith in bethesda to believe that will happen

Shouldn't the PC players get Dawnguard now since we can actually install it? I mean I feel bad for the PS3 players but delaying the release of dawnguard for PC just so they can release both the PS3 and PC version at the same time feels pointless

What bugs are you referring to? I've gone through the companions and college quest lines with no issues. Several side quests and radiant quests as well. No CTD's, only thing is thieves hood still glitches on vampires.

I just remember hearing that 1.6 had some major stability/performance problems and mucked up a couple things. I wouldn't know from personal experience, because Bethesda decided that the PS3 wasn't worth patching, and I'm still hesitant to go to 1.5, because I heard that caused a lot of issues itself, so I've been staying at 1.4.
