True, but this also applies to things like jumpsuits and lab coats... A lab coat makes you a better scientist?

Have you ever put on one of those professional lab coats? They just make you feel smarter. ^_^
Its about believing in yourself, and a lab coat helps you believe

Looks like the Heavy Incinerator, shoots like the Heavy Incinerator, is described by the narrator as a "projectile flamethrower" and a weapon on the leader's body is named Incinerator.
Sorry Sawyer, I know it's you, the lead designer and project director and all but... How is this not the Hellfire Soldier's Heavy Incinerator?

Probably because it doesn't say Heavy Incinerator.

The lab-coat probably sets the users self-esteem up a notch making him more willing to do scientific stuff cause he's got a science-coat.
... Man... I'm even too bitter to make up a good joke.
/Depressed.

UnDeCafIndeed Hmmmm So... Heavy Incinerator is military issue while Incinerator is prison guard issue? Hmm, then Light Incinerator has got to be the Children Issue!
Ah, so that's how the world ended.... All children turned into pyromaniacs...

Boxing gloves inflicting fatigue damage. Like pummeling a guy to the ground and then rigging him up with explosives or running away?

Could be looted from an "evidence/belongings box". The convicts were something else before they ended up being convicts.

Uhh, remember the part where J.E. Sawyer said, "No?"

Yeah, you've been answered. :icecream:

Yeah, you've been answered.

No, I have not.
Sawyer only said "He doesn't".
And after that I explained why I thought it was the Heavy Incinerator, and to that I got no answer.
So, I am still waiting for an answer.

Still won't accept it.
Sun + hat does not = magic bonuses.
I understand what you're saying about that the sun will get in one's eyes and with a hat it will shade them somewhat, but... A whole another point?
No.
Only if during day-time we all get -1 PER because of the sun will I accept that. (But during night-time, indoors or shaded areas we get our original stat back: -/+0)
Until then this is a magic item IMO.
And Oblivion With Guns continues.

But I could accept this: Well, the sun messes up the eyes right? Okay, that's settled, now, +1 PER should only be available outside during the day.
Because indoors or during night, this item is a magic item if it still gives +1 PER. (Unless it's a really really really bright room)

(Yes I did in fact wake up on the wrong side of the bed.. :meh: )

Colonel Martyr & Paragon, yup, I'm kind of in a bad mood right now.

Why does it matter if its the heavy incinerator or not. Lets not burned the bridges (Obsidian) that have been made over the last year and a half

But, you did! When you asked if it was a Heavy Incinerator and he said, "No," that means it's not! Obviously, he doesn't want to say what it is, or he would have further qualified the "no."

You're fishing for a name, and it seems he doesn't want to divulge it.

Uhmm, to be honest even in a darker room shouldn't a hat give a higher perception since you don't have your full view and thus can focus more on the view you actually have?

The bonus to Perception while indoors while wearing hats is due to the hat blocking falling debris. :toughninja:

At least you know it is not.

Maybe it's a previous model, like the laser rifles and plasma rifles...

Well it just seems like a weird spin on the lore seeing as top of the line Enclave soldiers are the only one's wearing it while a band of escaped convicts just "happened" to stumble across it.

I'm not fishing for a name.
I'm not convinced it's something other than the Heavy Incinerator.

I'm seeing a Heavy Incinerator there, I'm hearing a narrator describe it like one.
I guess my eyes are made out of cotton balls and french crackers since I'm apparently blind as a bat.
And that my ears has chop sticks nailed a decimeter deep into my brain.

But the heavy Incinerator was as far as I can remember the first fire-based weapon which shot balls of fire in the Fallout series.
And now we have two models?
Where have the second model been all this time?
And why haven't we seen anyone use it before?
I thought the HI was a new design by the Enclave.

The guy giving the presentation was from Bethesda, not Obsidian, if I recall correctly. I reckon he thought it was a Heavy Incinerator.

Im sure you are all are going to forget these pointless complaints when you are actually playing the game.

Its the same effect when you say you are not that attracted to a woman, but when you are getting attention from her, that all suddenly changes.

That explains the "projectile flamethrower" part, but not the rest.

Ne7hsuR, true, I will stop giving a damn once the game is out, I'll be too mesmerized by it's awesomeness (This is a real word according to spellcheck. >_>).
But once I've snapped out of it I'm out after stuff to [censored], whine and moan about. :goodjob:

snip

Why are you so worked up about this particular issue?

As far I can tell, there's nothing bigger going on here than a weapon working similiarly to another. Like when comparing AK-47 and M16.

Because it's just a regular incinerator, not a heavy incinerator, silly.

The heavy incinerator is probably in the game, anyway, the incinerator is just a less beefy, weaker version of it.

Exactly, "Heavy" implies a more powerful(or "heavy duty" version of something, like how an Heavy Machine Gun is typically more powerful than a Light Machine Gun. Also, the fireball effects for the thing looked cool.
