Go you! Please stop trying to perpetuate the myth that NV isn't a horrendously broken mess of a game.
*sigh*
Some people experience few major glitches when playing through the game -> Does not support notion that the game should work similarly well for all users unless they are doing something. The poster you responded to did not actually say or imply this, but I can see how it may have felt like they were rubbing it in a little.
Some people (considering this is a support forum this is likely the majority of people on the board) encounter numerous significant errors with some being completely unable to run the game-> Does not support blanket statement that the game is a horrendously broken mess. A qualified version of this statement "The game is a horrendously broken mess for many of the users here" would be more accurate.
Nobody here can honestly claim to be able to make general statements or definitive declarations regarding the games overall stability or playability for a statistically significant number of users. All we can do is describe our experiences and perhaps the experiences of a relatively few other people. Whether these experiences are fair or poor bears no wieght in claims regarding the average or normal user experience.
The game has quite a few bugs- many of which do make one wonder how they might have escaped any actual pre-launch testing. It is possible to play through the game without encountering any (or at least most) of these problems though. Whether or not that is the case appears to be a combination of luck and computer hardware/software configuration. While I do not take issue at someone describing the game as a horrendous mess, I do have to take issue with the idea that it might not be for many users being called a myth. There is no conspiracy to perpetuate some fabricated story that some people are playing and enjoying the game without serious issues (perhaps though they have simply ignored or failed to notice some of the more common ones.) The fact that someone else (many people even) are enjoying the game and failing to find the same faults you have in no way deminishes the real need for fixes. You do not have to feel threatened by those kind of statements- as much as they do often smell of flaimbait.
Also- posting how great the game is working for you within the support forums is a little too much like an obvious troll attempt. Maybe you feel the need to defend the game you have enjoyed, but how does posting how nearly flawless your experience has been serve any positive purpose in a forum dedicated to reporting and assisting with game issues. That is like pulling up alongside someone trying to fix their car on the side of the road and, upon noticing you drive the same make and model, saying "Mine works great! Bye!"
