Things that you can't suspend your disbelief over?

Game industry have an immensely long way to go before games actually become aweeesome.
First of all I don't agree with that, and second of all that doesn't excuse this game's poor animation. There are games available now that have really good animation - like Rage, as I already mentioned.

Well said.

And I actually find Dragons quite believably done in Skyrim. If Dragons were real in real life today they`d be like in Skyrim, except they`d be much deadlier.

There are many things that I can`t suspend my belief to in Skyrim. I don`t even know where to start.

So i won`t.

The only thing about dragons in Skyrim I have difficulty with is the way they do nose dives into the ground, then make a suden 90 degree turn and fly away.

There are plenty of bathrooms in Skyrim. You just must not be looking hard enough.

Games have been awesome for as long as I've been playing (since 1987). Certainly they've changed over the years in every aspect, but I feel just as excited playing Skyrim as I did playing Goldeneye or even Super Mario. It's all about gameplay and perception.

Not sure what is meant by the quote 'games have a long way to go' even in the least bit.

No bathrooms.

Do you mean toilets? See we in Brit land say toilets and I notice Americans say `bathrooms` for toilets.

I think this might be causing the confusion.

Americans call toilets toilets. Bathroom is the room where the toliet is located. What some places refer to as the water closet, if I'm not mistaken.

Bathroom is indeed the place where the toilet is located but we don`t say `going to the bathroom` like you do. we say `going to the toilet.`

That`s what made me say this.

In front of Whiterun Stables there is a guy half-stuck in the ground with two clones standing around him in my game. And yes my game is fully patched.

But bugs aside, my biggest personal gripe is respawning enemies. I'm pretty sure there are more bandits in forts than there are people in towns, and people in towns don't respawn.

I've got two, but I'm sure if I thought for a while there would be a lot more:

- I can fit my entire inventory into a tiny box or sack, including huge bulky armor and weapons.

- In a time of CIVIL WAR, there is NO market active for people who want others to improve or enchant their weapons or armor.

What are some of yours?

Almost all of the dialog.

Yeah its kind frustrating how the guilds treat you like new recruits even when your the boss.
Guards calling your character a sneak thief everytime you walk past them even tho you dont steal...them knowing your in the theives guild or dark brotherhood even tho you dont wear there armour infront of them.
No npc enchants or smiths your gear for money, they tell you to improve your gear if you do there little tutorials but they dont sell upgraded weapons.
You become the thane of whiterun and the dragon born, yet you have no opinions or say on the civial war when it comes to it, you just stand there like a monkey let them obliterate them selves. Same with the blades late game 'request' cool dont put aside some petty ball ill just save the world alone...
Bites and shouts from dragons do less damage than stikes from a bandit/mage leaders?!

I dont find cramming stuff in containers to be a problem, for instance in my marakath house i store all my alchemy ingriends in the satchel, in my minds they are sorted and drying through out the room hence all the display items. It would be unfeasable to have everything out. For rp sake i try not to cram weapons and armour in sacks ect. More storage in the correct places, like near work stations, none of my houses have storage next to the enchanting area...didnt think people would want to store there soul gems in there enchanting room beth?

U know what you mean. My newest character finally finished the companions guild and I was like WTF!?!? They still treat you like a noob and Aela seems more like the Harbinger now. BGS  BGS I do not even know what to say anymore about how they programmed this game. It is frustrating to think how they dropped the ball in so many places on Skyrim.
versions of this forum are displayed in a very light grey.
basicly white on white equals invisable post.

I dont feel games have a long way to go i feel most people get annoyed my missed opotunitys or things that are inconsistant or are able to be implimented but just arnt, like dialougue, enemy balence, crafting, player homes.
Like seriously why did they pay different people the say the same lines...its just boggles the mind. imo dialougue has taken a back seat for money reasons ie translation, theres no other reason i can think of, text ie pc dialougue is so limited yet easy to wright and has almost no data to it.
Same with the voice acting same time, money and data to record all those voices but all the lines being the same only points to eaither not paying wrighter or simpler cheaper translations. Which svcks...

As for toliets there are this time i was glad to see such things adds to general beliveabity of the world.

Either way, probably not. I think some people just have no concept of what bathrooms use to be. All they have in their heads in the modern version of a room with a sink, a toilet and a tub. It's just beyond them that the sink use to be a bowl on table with a pitcher of water. Or that the tub use to be barrel out back. Or that a toilet use to be anything from an outhouse to a stone bench with a hole in it to dump waste outside the castle walls to a bucket you keep under your bed and empty out into the streets in the morning.

The only thing that really annoys me is certain NPC's commenting about me being in the DB..

Spoiler
I mean for God's sake I just killed the Emperor himself. I'm in an Imperial city and the guards just tell me, that they know who I am? Really? If you know that, then shouldn't you be trying to arrest me by now?
I know what you mean. It's like Bethesda just added that in there so it looked like there are consequences for your actions.

Imo potions should take time to work. Poisons should be like a limited version of enchanting and bringing up the menu should slow time not pause it.

One thing that I seriously couldn't suspend my disbelief over was the following:

I robbed Belethor's General Goods in Whiterun. I was 100% sure nobody saw me do it, I was hidden the entire time. Anyway, a while later I get attacked by assassins and after I killed them, I loot the contract from them which says Belethor hired them to kill me for robbing his shop.

I don't know how he knew this (since nobody saw me) but what made it worse was that when I went to confront Belethor about it, there was no dialogue option for "You sent assassins after me!? You jerk!" He just acted like his happy old self, didn't even try to attack me. This totally ruined the immersion for me. I thought I was going to see something dynamic and actually witness the Radiant Story working but nothing happened. Big let down.
