Unofficial DLC Discussion [spoilers] - Thread #2

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 1:46 am

I was thinking jyggalag, the thalmor, you becoming the king of the empire, and the dwemer. What do you guys think it should add more to?

I think the DLC should explore the rest of the game. My current Beta version is lacking.

Perhaps a re-visit to Solstheim, but I'd personally like to see Atmora.

Jyggalag is already done, and you cant be 'King of the empire'. Were you to become the emperor, that would just be stupid. Though, Thalmor might be cool, but the dwemer I like shrouded in mystery. I'd like an expansion related to daedra.

Beth made you a daedric deity in the previous TES, how would being an Emperor be more complicated than that?

  • Ysgrammor, the giants, snow whales, Tiber Septim and Atmora.
  • The falmer, the volkihar tribe, the Great Collapse, pre-mutant falmer.
  • Red Year, Dunmer House Remnants, werebears, Solstheim.

The vampires. Seriously, we need a break in the Elder Scrolls games.

The increasingly restless Falmer and the looming threat of Thalmor purges are two plot threads left dangling in the actual game.

I really do thing one of the expansions will be umbria.. With the sword making it's return there. Since the books I've been wanting to explore the floating city.

Something involving Daedra, preferably including more we can summon ourselves
Visit to Orsinium
Volkihar

I wouldn't expect the DLC to tie up all the plot threads, I think some will be left dangling until TES VI

I hadn't thought of umbriel but that is a good one expecially because of umbra. Though I haven't read lord of souls yet so I don't actually know what happens to umbriel I think that could work.

Still want to meet the god form of Tiber Septim, & know his teeth down his throat. Why? You meet a god, why not.

You def got the spelling better then I did.. I was trying to think back on all of it while I was typing, ah mead. If you haven't read the last book, or for anyone that hasn't read either, they are a good read, short but good.

The other two continents (sorry I'm not looking up their names for this post but the Nord Homeland and the Dragon Continent where the failed invasion took place).
Falmer: the invasion and defeat.
Soltheim because the books mentioned them and I would love to visit that place again.
Maybe some explaination for the Ghost Sea. It didn't seem to ghostly in game. I would like this fixed.
What caused Winterhold to be destroyed which I believe is the third plot thread hanging outside the Thalmor and Falmer
Umbria: that place defininety sounds interesting plus it would be an origin place of those trees as well. (again not looking up name)

I think the DLC should explore the rest of the game. My current Beta version is lacking.
LOL so true.

They're in Morrowind. There is a book in the game explaining the cultural differences between Dwemers in Skyrim, Morrowind and other regions.

Personally I'd like to visit Orsinium, we could take an underground Dwemer rail road to bring us through the mountains to the Orc City. I would just like to further explore their culture, but story-wise it could include an ancient Dwemer city found underneed the Orc Capital. It could be about finding some more clues towards their disappearance.

In terms of style it would fit in with Skyrim as Orcs are also very barbaric and Dwemers have a lot to do with the setting as well. It seems to me that with further installments they'd have to go to southern provinces (Like Summerset) and it is less likely that it can be about Dwemers. So I'd like them to wrap up this 10+ year old TES storyline. Us TES fans are only interested in reading up about the Dwemer if there is something new to discover, and Skyrim added very little new lore and not much about their disappereance either.

i think we should beable to fight daedric princes in the next dlc but there extremely difficult so when you kill them you get something really good like an upgrade from a daedric warhammer or sword or something and they should also make it so that the people you fight level up with you so the game still keeps its challenge because once you get to a really high level it gets really easy and it becomes boring

Another vote for Orsinium, the Dragontails, the Wrothgarians, and the Ashpit. Skyrim has started the Orc culture ball rolling, we want more. And a trip to Ashpit, don't forget. I like Malacath, he doesn't do lollygagging.

[I mean srsly, I know it's the capital province and all, so Oblivion's Cyrodiil was going to be a bit cosmopolitan, but Skingrad Orcs were even weirder than apes thinking they are Altmer.]

Maybe quests for the aedra, opposite to the daedra quests, coz I always feel guilty after doing one of those. It's just that in skyrim its alot more easy to be evil then good- which kinda svcks in my opnion.
