Most likely the DLC will only be Xbox exclusive for 30 days. That is the agreement M$ has with Bethesda.

Yup, a timed exclusive. Just like it was for New Vegas. Only with Skyrim it's only the first, not all (IIRC).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embrace,_extend_and_extinguish

Ensnaring companies like Beth into making DLC exclusives and also pressuring them to make Kinect functionality is part of "Extend". They are attempting to force out the PC and PS3 markets.

How i wish i could that paranoia

DLC won't be xbox exclusive. Bethesda is not thumbing their nose at anyone. PC gets mods and the creation kit. PC gets all patches first. PC gets beta testing. etc.. Xbox gets DLC one month before PC and PS3 because microsoft paid for that luxury. It's not a thumbed nose to anyone. PS3 gets the short end of all the Skyrim sticks.

OP, you've seriously misrepresented the reality of this issue.
Exactly, this is nothing new either. Microsoft has been buying off developers to get DLC early for quite some time now, you'd think people would understand the concept and be used to it by now.

Sorry if I'm raking up something already discussed. I don't post here very often, but this annoyed me enough to make me want to stand up and question this.
Well, thank Microsoft and all the blathering [censored] that worship them because they can do no wrong. Microsoft just throws money at people. That's their strategy. It's certainly not making a quality system or standing by your customers that complained about the RRoD for THREE years and MS blatantly denied there was an issue at all only to turn around and--yep, you guessed it--throw a one billion dollar plan out there because GOSH all those "crazy" people complaining about their RRoD were actually telling the truth. Imagine that? :ermm:

And people like this company?

Congradulations, cry baby. You have to wait 30 [censored] days to get your hands on the first two DLCs. Guess what, that means less bugs. Find something else to play in the mean time if you have the patience of a teenager.

Yeah, Bethesda have totally abandoned their PC community, those good-for-nothing console players get the creation kit, better graphics, and all those sweet mods.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure 360 players, unfortunately not PS3 players too, deserve a little something to make the decision of buying on a console worthwhile.

svck it up, and wait the month. Console players have had to deal with not having mods, consoles, and graphics.

Do we know for a fact that M$ pays the developer, or are these agreements reached through arm twisting? M$ is the 800 lb. Gorilla in the room, after all.

They paid for it, they are entitled to get it.

It's not like Bethesda decided it liked the Xbox best and wanted to give it to them first, as some of the children on this board might have you think.

You know, the pic Bethblog twitted really resembles Ulfric being interrogated by the Thalmor...

He didn't look at all like Ulfric to me.

But someone in some sort of duress, yes.

Who cares whether Sony or Microsoft gets it 1st, the game is still broken for a whole lot of people especially if you go north of 200 hours which is very easy to do in Skyrim.

As to the picture, it looks like a Nord who will probably need the Dragonborn's help with freeing his people from another group of people. My theory, possibly some Dunmer who are angry at the empire or the guy's village or the guy in question.

You people and your damned conspiracies.

If anything, you should be glad Bethesda made a timed exclusive deal with Microsoft, it means the PS3 version has 30 days extra to be patched, because we all know the first release of any DLC for the PS3 will break the game.

I personally think the pic shows the Promokiin cornered by a Thalmor/Falmer mage or looking at a crossbow mounted on his wall.

Yeah, there are lots of rumors about the (impending) DLC's, but I just have one question, Beth.

Why don't you fix the @&(*)# shadows? They look like they were made using LEGOs.

Oh, and while you're at it, re-enable LAA and optimizations in your next 'patch'.

Seriously.

Uh, it does actually. Take it into the PC Support board if you want. This is not the place for it.

My 'beef' with Beth's priorities are relevant since it's obvious their efforts have been in pumping out new content (read: dollars) all I want them to do is fix the shadows. What year is this again? And we have shadows that look like they're made with LEGO?

I find it hard to care. I hate that Skyrim was built from the console down. Beth's attitude is "well, we'll release it using 1998 technology and let the fan-boys polish it up'. Nice.

How about:
- Real multi-core support?
- DX11
- Uh FIX THE @%&^@*^ SHADOWS!
- A UI that wasn't built for thumb-tards
- True 64bit/LAA enabled and optimised code?

Don't get me started. DLC or not, I refuse to further $upport Beth until they get a decade. Or three.
