Maybe we ride a dragon to get to solstheim? or maybe thats stupid,We could just take a boat.

Is Skyrim officially closed due to the civil war? If that is the case, perhaps flying is the only channel out of Skyrim? Still curious about why we need to go to Solsthiem in the first place though...

Everything sounds great except for dragon mounts. I would rather they bring back levitation instead.
If they bring that back I would rather them make it a flying spell. So your character would fly around the sky like Goku in DBZ. The whole walking around in the sky thing looks dumb to me.

Seems like we'll be getting an announcement sooner rather than later now, if I am interpreting the latest post on Bethblog correctly.
Yeah, hopefully we'll get an announcement tomorrow, since they usually announce DLC on tuesdays for whatever reason.

the very nature of separate world spaces make flying around on a Dragon pretty....silly and as stated by another forum member, you can cross the breath of Skyrim pretty quick, and not the quick because your flying kind of quick either.

they better bring back magical levitation damn it

everything else sounds fine to me, I would like to visit solsthiem again because this solsthiem isn't the same solsthiem from morrowind. new armor types are always welcome but until the armor 'mechanics" are tended too, unless you're one for appeal in looks, people will still spam Daedric Armor as ending equipment.

Good, glad we can get that out of the way.

But yeah as I said, the other stuff at least SEEMS promising in that so far it offers attention to detail. I mean I argue that the new armors definitely aren't neccesary, and yet they've chosen to include them. Adding new armors that are blatant re-textures of existing ones when hitting the armor cap is already so easy would be beyond stupid on their behalf, so I assume that while, again, I doubt these offer anything new stat-wise, they'll at least look pretty.

The map markers (at least they look like it) also imply new variety in the settings and locations aswell.

Personally, this isn't the kind of stuff I'd personally enjoy, (but then again I want more balance and better writing, which can't exactly be found in patch files anyways) but it seems like stuff that most of you (since I'm obviously not a big Skyrim fan) would enjoy thoroughly. Hopefully this DLC will be a bit bigger than Dawnguard and expand on existing game elements, rather than saying "here have this vampire gimmick" and then blatantly providing nothing but another quest chain through the same old locations. I think a DLC that takes existing elements and simply creates something new with them would be far superior at this point.

It doesn't sound stupid to me. What sounds stupid to me is a horse that you can sprint faster than it's running speed.

Well, you can always sprint with the horse. But yeah, that is a bit strange.

Some interesting trivia: Bethesda planned a telvanni themed city for Skyrim, but it never made it to the final version, remember that from some info before release

But your horse seems to use up more stamina sprinting than you do, which is also weird.

Oh didn't know that
Hope the Telvanni Tower is the realization of that plan and it ends up being a settlement. It will be interesting to see if the tower will be more than a simply unique looking building... just imagine those sixy roots and branches moving around and playing with crystals and magics B-(

But it makes up for it by being able to walk up http://egamer.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/3-Horse-Physics-Facebook-Top-5.jpg(Is it really that hard to program a horse to work right?)

The problem with bringing back levitation is there aren't any dungeons designed with it's use in mind (future DLCs may change that, but I digress) unlike Morrowind which had many dungeons + Telvanni towers designed with levitation in mind. As it stands right now, it's use would be rather limited to scaling mountains easier.

I've accepted the sad fact that not all games will have horses like the ones in Red Dead Redemption.
