I certainly hope so, there is no reason for all of those to not be used on a horse I hope they are all included.
They're all probably super buggy right now, but will make it in a future patch, or maybe even as part of Dawnguard

Maybe, I am thinking it might be added in some revised patch notes for 1.6.

I'm pretty excited to try it out, now if only they'd make the mounts worthy of riding into battle.

Yeah, now they just need to allow 1st person on horses like they did in oblivion.

Found the culprit(s) with my disappearing hud components during mounted combat. One is called 'no enemies on compass' and the other is 'remove stealth indicator'. Deactivating one did not work, but doing both solved my hud issue(s). I don't think either are supported anymore (updated)?

edit - interesting that any modification that removes something specific from the hud will disable the hud entirely when in mounted combat.

I'm a huge M&B player so I'm loving this horse combat. Can finally feel like a Nordic Knight bearing down on brigands from horseback :D

As for balance, I'd say maybe make it so horses have a bit less health. Horse dies > buy a new horse = balance. Obivously being mounted should give people an offensive advantage, but if the horse dies you should need to buy a new one.

I have zero intrest in mounted combat, but I'm happy for those players who want it.

No magic? I hope it gets implemented in the final version of the game. It might be a way to make a pure destruction mage less vulnerable to melee fighters using "hit and run" tactics.

OT: is there a better horse model and texture for Skyrim? Honestly I prefer horses the way they were portrayed in Oblivion

That was ny thought about no magic as well, I am hopeful that magic gets added into the patch notes. So then our mages can ride a horse as well.

Big thanks to Beth for their great support !

Look forward to trying it out when it's official, vids look nice.

Would be cool if when there was a mounted sprint power attack that could knock enemies off their feet, doesn't quite look like it works like that going on the IGN vid. Still awesome though, look forward to horse back archery action :)

Ditto. I never use horses because the forced third-person perspective is completely immersion-breaking. Now if Beth were to introduce first-person riding and combat I'd mount a horse right then (oh-er missus).

Yet another reason to thank Bethesda. Of course, this is likely going to be 'shallow, immersion breaking and too easy!' just like everything other than Morrowind ... At least to some folk.

I'm really looking forward to this! Time for a new archer character, methinks.

Crossbows have real potential, imagine having a small, 3 arrow, crossbow in your hand while fighting with your other hand.
And I would like to see melee attacks for large crossbow.
And VampLord has great potential- We should find the guy who made it - He has some evil looking avatar...

Very true, I know the Shivering Isles disk added the patch, and if I remember correctly Morrowinds added the patch as well. So in saying that I have no reason to suspect they would not do that for Skyrim.
Wait so Xbox users without live don't get patches?
Wow.

Well, since you will be really close to mammoth, giants and other big creatues getting hit by them should knock you down from horse, right now its a little bit overpowered
And we need kill cams for it <3

Well, how can they get a patch if not via Internet? If you meant "the Live subscription", patches and fixes are free of charge and can be downloaded by anyone, same as demos and free content.
