PS3 Release for Dawnguard - Thread #11

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 6:31 am

Haha, that guy has a point. Down in right corner, the icon for Windows is there, and for Xbox.. but for PS3? Of course not. Wow. Just wow.

thanks for the update.
Don't listen to the irrational fools on this topic, I'm positive that the very best is being done to deliver DG for the PS3 and ,hey, if it's not possible, atleast you tried.

That is what I believe, I believe they are working as hard as they can, but that post made yell NNNNNNNOOOOOO like that. I am not one of those people who is pissed at Bethesda though.

The very best? If they were doing their 'very best' I'm sure we would have a working piece of DLC by now. And 'atleast you tried'. Oh yeah, because even though they barely told us anything for 1 month, kept us in the dark, delayed the DLC etc etc etc... at least they tried.

While I agree with you, I think that Bethesda should have avoided releasing the game on the PS3 at all. Similar problems were noted with the PS3 copy of Fallout 3 and those problems were partially responsible for the massive delay in the release of the DLC, on top of a Microsoft exclusivity deal. Once problems were noted from those DLC too, they started mentioning memory issues with the way in which the PS3 handles its memory as a factor. It isn't like this hasn't happened in the past, it has. If I were Bethesda, I'd just cut my losses with the difficulty of programming for Fallout 3 on the platform and have avoided it altogether in Skyrim. It won't matter now anyway. The new consoles will be out soon and hopefully the Sony platform will not have these sorts of problems.

It's not like PS3 users make up roughly 1/3 - 1/4 of your sales or anything. Disregard us.

Yup. Oh here's the GOTY edition, yeah um, here's Dawnguard and everything we couldn't fix at the time.

And even then, it'll be riddled with bugs and glitches. Smack. My. Head.

Why can't we get a Beta? Come on Bethesda. Give us something other than bad news for once.

Well that will take us well beyond the Inca-Calendar prescribed end of the world... bugger.

Just joking... I'll mark the time-frame in on my Pirelli calendar... far more reliable.

That callender was off. They didnt ake leap years into consideration as it wasnt implemented yet.

Talos? Ugh.. you stormcloaks and your false god.

Anyway, surprisingly they've done relatively well with the 1.7 Europe patch, so far.... It's a start. Mayhaps a little more tweaks and Dawnguard will be all set for the PS3!! If Hearthfire releases for xbox and pc before we get Dawnguard, by the Eight I'll... I'll....

Blasphemy..

GSTAFF.....GIVE US AN UPDATE PLEASE!!! ITS BEEN A MONTH! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

Gstaff is a forum admin. He has no control. Hes just the teams cartboy. All he can do is hand out sandwhiches. Dawnguard isnt coming out for ps3. If it was it would have by now. In the recent update they even say Were not sure its a problem we can even solve. GG DG.. GG..

Ive just decided to give up like everyone else who has a life outside of skyrim. Beth your a great team but you dont look ahead. After fallout you should have seen this coming. Get a better ps3 coding team or lose my money.

Alright, with the update, I'm not as annoyed as I was before. At least now they've definitively told us that they're just having some serious problems and they actually have been trying to get the content to us.

Perhaps now Bethesda will concentrate mainly on the PC and PS3, considering the PS3 is a pain to programme and develop for unless your Sony's developers which can knock out cracking games, then when it works for the PS3 they will know it will work on the 360 because how easy it is to programme and develop on the 360. Life is full of challenges but you need to adapt to overcome them, adapt Bethesda and then you might be better at what you do.

absolutely disgusting they can not get this to work for PS3. If you a 360/PC owner of skyrim, show us support, let the voice of the gamers be heard, do not buy heathfire, let bethesda know they can no longer treat one third of thier fanbase like a red headed step child. Share this with your friends, it time bethesda got thier act together!!

Thank God Gstaff actually replied. It svcks that we may not see Dawnguard, but at least Bethesda finally admitted that, well... their coders svck. I will admit that I am not as angry now, but I am still just as if not even more disappointed. Truth be told, hearing that it was too hard, my first reaction was rather vulgar.

This is unacceptable, I went and paid damn close to full price for this game again for ps3 because my 360 was a glitchy piece of [censored]. I don't care about waiting I've other things to do then game but I swear to [censored] if they don't fix this and get their [censored] together I'll never buy another game from bethesda and make sure my friends don't either.

Bethesda this is beyond shameful. congrats for losing all of the new fans you got because of skyrim & many others. i am beyond angry at this point. if dawnguard doesn't come to ps3 i wouldn't be surpised. i'm at a loss for words, the plus is we got a update but the downsize is the update now gives us a 60, 40% chance the ps3 will never see dawnguard. its sad i shouldn't have to have a xbox 360 to enjoy dlc for games i buy.

Well that wraps it up for me. If I'm at a store waiting to purchase something and the sales people are all fawning over another customer, I don't wait around until a tiny bit of attention comes my way, I end my dealings with that company.

I'm a reasonable advlt and it seems like this company thinks that the entire demographic of theirs are snotty little kids who they can placate every few months with a status update, which I should remind you, only came about because people were all up in arms across the interwebs. So we had to stir up enough noise to make them come out and acknowledge us. I'm just curious how far some PS3 Skyrim fans are willing to let a company walk all over them before they decide that a company isn't worth their time or money.
